Facts About Our Santa

    Did you know that the Claus Family has actually taken up residence in the West Virginia town of Saint Albans? It's true, but try to keep it a secret. Yes, this is where for the past 12 years Santa and his wife have made their retreat from the snows of the frozen North. They share a little cottage, surrounded by the relics of Christmas past and the goodies of Christmas future. He and the wife can also be seen as far South as Myrtle Beach, South Carolina - a state that Santa loves because he shares the same initials (SC). You see, our Santa has a special interest in the children of the mountains and can be seen throughout the year greeting them. Why, on Christmas Eve he can even be seen going door to door delivering gifts and general Christmas cheer to those in need. This is in keeping with Santa's code of giving, and he wishes everyone else would do the same. Santa does still have a base of operations at the North Pole, including his large warehouses of toys and his world post office.  Don't worry, he will get your letter.
    Did you know that Santa and the Mrs. have a special companion that lives with them? It's true, they have a special Christmas Crested puppy named Toby. Santa likes to call him "Santa Paws." Why, who do you think warms Santa's feet while he is making his list? Who do you think gets to try some of Mrs. Claus' special sugar cookies? You guessed it, it is Toby.
    If you are ever in the area, keep an eye out for a jolly fellow in red. Santa can be seen all over the state of West Virginia. He is the official mascot of the Secret Santa Foundation of Kanawha and Boone Counties. He can be seen at the Charleston Town Center Mall during the Season. He also makes special visits to hospitals, churches, and to folks in hospice. However, his special focus is to the families in need all around him. Our Santa loves everyone and wants everyone to know that. He is also a musician, singer, and storyteller. He and his wife are also very active in their local Church of Christ working with the children to teach them about God's special gift, Jesus Christ.
    Did you know Santa was a preacher? He sure is, and can be found officiating weddings as well as delivering a message of Christ's peace and special gift to all. Of course, we know he is a saint!
